As a leader you are always growing. There’s no doubt about that. The industry pushes you and molds you and shapes you. This is the very premise of being a leader in an industry that is always on the cutting edge.
However, beyond this push for growth must be another type of push…it’s that push that comes from within. What push is this? It’s that push to learn and to grow and to master your industry by always being a student.
You see, this is what all the great leaders have in common. They realize better than anyone that they can always learn and grow through interaction with others. This growth can come through conversation or reading or participating in further education. It doesn’t matter how it takes place, as long as it takes place.
So how are you as a leader growing in your own industry right now? Are you pushing the envelope by continuing your journey of self-education by reading…whether it be online or a book?
