What do you leave your customers with?
What do you leave your employees with?
What’s the last thing people see or remember when coming into contact with you?
This is an important question. One that got me thinking after taking a look at today’s article and thinking about the implications of it for our business and leadership today.
The article is centered around a marketing concept that is very much dated (and has always been questionable). Marketers have always believed that a “call to action” on a website must be above the fold, or in the top 25% of a web page. However, this does not account for how most users look at a page. Even before a page is completely loaded, users generally will begin scrolling down. Thus, the “fold” for users does not exist or is rarely seen.
So much for being above the fold.
What does this have to do with you? Well, it has to do with first impressions and last impressions. Which one is more important? Well, many would argue that the first impression is in fact everything. But is this true?
If you can leave a strong, lasting end impression…well then, you have closed the deal haven’t you? And, for that matter, you have obliterated the “fold.”
Take a look at more.
