Big Banks Report Lacklustre Earnings
It’s bank earnings reporting season and some of the big guns in banking reported less than stellar results (not unexpected). Citigroup posted huge losses. While Bank of America and Wells Fargo are looking at hits to profits as well as going forward. JP Morgan was the only (so far) unscathed but believes the outlook is not as rosy.

SEC Approves Bitcoin ETFs
Despite the failures of multiple crypto firms in recent years, the U.S. SEC approved the application from eleven firms looking to offer Bitcoin ETFs.

CFA Test-Takers Achieves Lowest Pass Rate Since 2021
Ah, the love-hate relationship with the CFA exam. The recent test session in November resulted in the lowest pass-rate for the CFA Level 1 exam since 2021 with a pass rate of 35%. Average pass rate over the last ten years has been 40%.
