National Bank of Canada Acquires Canada Western Bank
The National Bank of Canada has agreed to acquire Canada Western Bank in a deal valued at CAD$5 billion.
The deal has yet to be approved by the Canadian Government and is expected to be completed in 2025.
The deal is set to expand National Bank of Canada’s reach into Western Canada.

Edmond de Rothschild Expands into Saudi Arabia
Private Bank and asset management specialist, Edmond de Rothschild, is expanding into Saudi Arabia.
The Swiss private bank will open a branch office in the second half of 2024 in Riyadh.
The Riyadh office is in addition to the opening of an office in Dubai last year.
