Purposeful leadership can make or break an organization and its employees. Several University studies have shown that employees look for three core traits among their management; clarity of goals, commitment to stakeholders and a strong moral compass. Employee satisfaction has been noted to considerably higher when they believe that their management is acting ethically and these employees also tend to stay at their current job longer. Shockingly, in the UK only 22% of employers categorized themselves as having purposeful leadership and only 35% state that they clearly communicate their goals. It’s clear that being a truly successful boss must go beyond the bottom line.
