SPAC’s (special purpose acquisition corporation) are becoming very popular.
But why?
Simply, SPAC’s are being used to acquire a private company and taking it public without having to go through the normal IPO process.
By the way, SPAC’s are not new. They’ve been around since the 90’s but they’re generating a lot of interest as vehicles in the past year.
But despite their popularity, there are a lot of caveats…Genevieve Roch-Decter of GRIT Capital does a nice job of explaining SPAC’s and things to be aware of here.
And, if you’re interested in deep diving more into SPAC’s and M&A, head over here to get on the waitlist for our M&A Masterclass which we’re updating and producing into an online course.
